For the owner keeping a few trucks moving
A second truck adds another driver, another set of documents and another invoice to follow up. Use TBOS when you need to see who is assigned to each load and keep the paperwork ready for the person handling billing. The owner can also drive and take load assignments.
One load from dispatch to invoice
1. Record the job and assign the driver
Enter the pickup and delivery details, agreed rate, broker and billing email. Assign the driver, truck and trailer to the load. Owners and dispatchers manage assignments; drivers work with their assigned loads through their own login.
2. Keep the rate confirmation, BOL and POD together
Upload the rate confirmation and bill of lading to the load. After delivery, add the signed proof of delivery (POD) as a PDF or image. Your team can find those files alongside the load details when it is time to prepare the invoice.
3. Send the invoice with the supporting files
Create an invoice from the delivered load. Review the customer, amount, due date and payment instructions, then download the PDF or email it with the uploaded load paperwork. See the full trucking invoicing workflow.
4. Record the payment and load expenses
Add fuel, tolls, lumper fees and other expenses to the load, with receipts where needed. When the customer pays, record the payment. The invoice and linked load move to paid together, so your next review starts with the records your team has entered.
Bring drivers into the same business workspace
Invite each driver by email from Settings. Choose the driver role and pay setup, then send the invitation. Once the driver joins, assign loads to them. This quick guide shows the invitation flow using example data.
What does small fleet trucking software cost?
The TBOS small fleet plan is $79.99 per month. It includes the load, paperwork, invoice and expense workflow, with:
- Up to 5 power units, with trailers alongside them.
- Up to 5 driver seats.

Can I start with a load that is already delivered?
Yes. Create the load with its delivered status, add the supporting documents and prepare the invoice. You can try the billing workflow with work you have already finished.
Can drivers use a phone?
Yes. The web workspace runs in a phone or computer browser. Drivers can open their assigned loads and upload the relevant paperwork without waiting for an app download.
What if I only run one truck?
The owner-operator plan covers one power unit and one driver seat, including yourself, for $29.99 per month. You can start there and choose a larger plan when your team grows.
